Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy logo

Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy

In December 1994, the International Society for Cellular Therapy and the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation merged their standards into a single document covering all aspects of hematopoietic cell therapy. The two societies established the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy to develop a voluntary practice of cellular therapy through its peer-developed standards and voluntary inspection and accreditation program.

In 1951, the American College of Physicians, the American Hospital Association, the American Medical Association and the Canadian Medical Association joined with the American College of Surgeons to create the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals (JCAH) as an independent, nonprofit whose primary purpose was to provide voluntary accreditation. The mission of the Joint Commission is to enable and affirm the highest standards of healthcare quality and patient safety for all.

  • Certified Mammography Facility from the Department of Health and Human Services/U.S. Food & Drug Administration 
  • Accreditation for DMEPOS by the Board of Certification/Accreditation International 
  • Establishment Registration and Listing for Human Cells, Tissues, and Cellular and Tissue-Based Products from the Food and Drug Administration

  • Fred Hutch Employee Health and Safety Clinic Medical Test Site Certificate of Waiver License - Washington Department of Health
