Dr. Kara Cicero is a hematologist-oncologist focused on global oncology and cancer disparities research to advance health equity, with specific clinical expertise in multiple myeloma, AL amyloidosis and related plasma cell disorders. She is a graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine (MD) and Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine (MPH). She also completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology-oncology at Columbia University.
Dr. Cicero was a 2022 recipient of the American Society of Clinical Oncology Young Investigator Award and a 2022 American Association for Cancer Research Cancer Disparities Fellowship. She is board-certified in hematology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
