Dr. Natalie J. Miller is a hematologist and oncologist and translational clinician-researcher focusing on using immunotherapy to improve patient outcomes for cutaneous (skin) cancers, with a special emphasis on identifying biomarkers and treatments for resistant disease. A graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine, Dr. Miller also completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology and oncology, both through the University of Washington School of Medicine.
Dr. Miller started studying skin cancer and its treatment in 2012 and played a key role in early laboratory studies that showed patients with Merkel cell carcinoma were likely to benefit from immunotherapy. She also conducts research on improving how immunotherapy works for patients with melanoma of the skin and eye (uveal melanoma).

Dr. Miller research is focused on improving outcomes for patients with PD-1 refractory skin cancers utilizing immunotherapy combinations and other novel approaches.
