SCCA Physicians Honored as Top Doctors

Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Staff Recognized as Top Doctors by Seattle Magazine and Seattle Met

SEATTLE — August 6, 2014 — Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) doctors were recently recognized by their colleagues for providing exceptional cancer and patient care. In the annual Top Doctors lists announced by Seattle Magazine and Seattle Met, 64 SCCA physicians were recognized as outstanding medical practitioners in the Greater Seattle Area. Seattle Met recognized 52 SCCA physicians in their August “Top Doctors and Nurses” issue, while Seattle Magazine honored 18 doctors in their July Top Doctors issue.

“Our amazing physicians are the reason we can offer patients superior cancer survival rates,” said Dr. Marc Stewart, medical director and vice president at SCCA. “We are thrilled that our physicians are being honored by Seattle Met and Seattle Magazine and are in awe of the dedication they bring to the clinic each and every day.”

SCCA doctors listed in Seattle Magazine’s “Top Doctors 2014” issue were among 437 peer-recommended doctors in the Puget Sound region selected from 13,000 nominations. To create their list Seattle Magazine asked local physicians, “To whom would you send a loved one for medical care?” From the 974 doctors, nurses and physician assistants in the Seattle metropolitan area who participated in Seattle Met’s annual “Top Doctors and Nurses 2014” survey, honorees were selected by an anonymous advisory panel of administrators, doctors and nurses from local hospitals, clinics and practices, with the final list representing the top ten percent of nominations in each specialty.
